Equestrian

The Equestrian Center is a full-service boarding facility that supports all equestrian disciplines. Services are tailored to each horse and rider’s individual needs by a knowledgeable, professional staff.

The facility includes a 22–stall barn featuring 12' x 12' stalls with Dutch doors, rubber stall mats, automatic fly spray, and individual fans. In addition, the barn features two large climate-controlled tack rooms, a well appointed member's lounge, laundry facility, showers, blanket and storage rooms, a sprinkler system, 24–hour security surveillance, and year round, daily turnout in grassy paddocks surrounded by premium horse fencing.

Riding options include a 123' x 229' arena with a Westwind customized blend of footing featuring rubber encapsulated sand and synthetic fibers, a turf jump field with a full course of jumps, and a wonderful mixture of forest trails, open meadows, and waterfront trails meandering for more than 10 miles.

Equine Connection Program

The Ford Plantation Equestrian Center is proud to offer “Equine Connection,” an innovative personal discovery program where participants explore their communication, relationship, and leadership styles through interactions with a horse. Created and developed by Equestrian Center Manager Sheryl Jordan more than 15 years ago, this program is available to everyone and does not require any previous horse-handling or riding experience. Please click here for a brochure.
