Ogeechee Clubhouse

It's "Gone With The Wind" without the hoop skirts. The very model of an antebellum plantation house but dedicated to the pursuit of gold and leisure, the 18,000-sqaure-foot Ogeechee Clubhouse is the focal point of a sports-oriented residential community outside of Savannah, GA.

The classically inspired facility was built at the end of a majestic alley of pre-Civil War oaks and stands behind four large, Doric columns. As in traditional plantation architecture, the clubhouse is flanked by two outbuildings, although in this incarnation, they house the pro shop and administrative offices. – D.H.
