View Site Plan

Named for nearby Fort McAllister, where General Sherman ended his famous "March to the Sea", McAllister Point occupies a special position on The Ford Plantation. A site with great natural beauty, the property includes centuries-old live oak and magnolia trees. Sterling Creek flows past on its way to the Ogeechee River. Antebellum rice fields, teeming with plant and animal life, surround three sides of the property.

Located at the eastern end of The Ford Plantation, McAllister Point is a community planned for 24-free-standing Charleston-style garden homes centered around a shady commons with an octagonal gazebo.

McAllister Point is designed to give residents the same sense of community that typifies the neighborhoods and public squares of Charleston and Savannah. Owners can choose from architectural designs ranging from 2,100 to 4,000 square feet that include a multi-storied porch or piazza from which to enjoy the superb views. Most homesites allow for rear gardens or guest cottages.
